Living by the Rule ~ Sainsbury Centre

we went to see "Living by the Rule: Contemporary Meets Medieval" at the Sainsbury Centre. we honestly weren't there to meet the contemporary, we were there for the very old books and other medieval items and it was incredible for that.

these carvings were from the cloisters at Norwich Cathedral which is somewhere I go quite often so that's really cool.

this book is from the year 700. 700. the book on the right is from the 1300's, also incredibly old!

getting to see hundreds of years old drawings is amazing. and look at that guy showing through the page, just, wow. who is he?

look at these ladybirds! and bees! and that gold leaf! irl it looked almost liquid.

seeing handmade things from so long ago is sort of, I don't know the right word, grounding? reassuring? they drew little creatures, I draw little creatures! they did embroidery, I do embroidery!

getting to see old things is very cool and lovely and this was a great collection.

Copdock Bike Show 2026

Will has been to this bike show a few times but it was my first time and it was a good time. I love a field with an event in it. (that first photo is just the visitor parking)

I know only a small amount about bikes but I do know tamagotchi exhaust and shiny wrap is cool things.

love these racing bibs

strong fashion choices available at the bike show.

I went to Copdock Bike Show and all I got was this Danzig album on cassette (actually very excting). we almost got some bootleg patches but refrained.

please paint fairground rides forever. say no to fairground rides with digital print decals on them.

*heart eyes*

i love them.

we also saw some sort of doughnuts world record and a kids bike club jumping through fire. a very good Sunday activity.
