new bag

i walked through town with will on his way to work and we had a look in the charity shops and i found this beauty. after touching it, turning it, zipping it, unzipping it and just generally giving it a full undecided inspection i decided to get it even if it is possibly a bit too big for what i wanted (but only a bit and it might be perfect, it'll have to go on a test run to find out) and i shouldn't spend any money. but it was only £2.50 and it was for charity.
it would have actually been wrong of me to not buy it.
and i'm pretty sure that once i've changed the over-the-shoulder strap to a longer one it'll be pretty much perfect.

i think i'm in love.

spring

loving the weather so far this weekend.

today i am going to:
paint our mug tree
have a browse in the charity shops
start/do a picture, though i'm not sure what of yet, i'm thinking some sort of animal...
read more of the gormenghast trilogy that i loaned from the library the other day

hope you have a good saturday

skull flowers and smoothies

today i made a new thing to hang on your wall.

ain't it pretty? it's only 5 inches/12 cm across so it's small and cute too.
it's in the shop.
to create this piece i was fueled by tea and homemade cake.

this is an example of the glorious substances that come out of our blender. the other day i also made tomato soup. the recipe came from sophie dahl. i'm loving her programme and am sad it's only 6 episodes long. i wasn't sure when i first watched it but it has grown on me massively. it's so pretty.

and these are a couple of my 365. they're all on my flickr but i figured if you're interested you can look there. some of them aren't so good because of long horrible shifts but some of them, like the elephant, i'm quite proud of.

other things on my mind:
i have massive urges to go to a sleazy glam gig.
but i am also excited to be going to see evelyn evelyn.
i want to spend a load of money on 'home' things specifically kitchen things.
like cake tins and jugs.
i have no money to spend on such things.
potatoes take a long time to bake.
i hope this nice weather lasts.
what would happen if me and will left our jobs and declared ourselves self employed artists?
apple juice, jack daniels and ice is a good drink.

sneaky chickens

easter sunday was good. i had a relaxing day hiding eggs, drinking tea and making cakes then will came home and found the eggs (except for one that neither of us can find) and gave me chicken egg warmers and egg cup with feet! awesome. the orange chicken always looks scared and the blue chicken always seems to be lurking in the background...
the present from my mum and dad was a blender. a completely awesome blender to be precise. today we're going for a walk to buy fruit and then we're going to blend things for the rest of the day.

and last but not least, the website is now available for all to see!
please take a look and let me know what you think.

om nom nom nom

today i am going to hide chocolate eggs all over the flat so will can do an egg hunt when he gets home from work. and i am going to make cupcakes. and i'm going to chill out on the sofa and draw a meerkat in a cardigan, obviously. and i'm going to look at this present wishing will would get home faster so we could open it.

isn't it pretty? it's from my mum and dad. we already know what it is but i'm still excited. infact i think it makes me even more excited. and look at how pretty the paper is! my mum has wrapping skills.

happy easter!
