Mush!🍄

It rained a lot over the past few days and today was sunny and warm so we went to the woods to look for mushrooms! I honestly didn't think we'd find anything but instead it was amazing. I took a photo of every mush we saw and even though some are a little blurry every type is here (and a few not mush photos) and I aim to learn how to identify them because that would be interesting and cool.

Look at those stripes!! So cool.

A hole. A mossy hole.

These were hard to get a good photo of. They're so cool, creepy green/blue/grey sort of colour with the orange tips, so cool.

This would have been the most impressive mush of the day if right next to it...

...there wasn't this guy in a tree. There's nothing to gauge the size in the photo but it was so big, the stem was as wide as my forearm. I wish I could have got up to it to have a better look.

The underneath of this one is kind of creepy, why is it so smooth and so white? Just seems weird! But cool weird.

This last one wasn't in the woods, we came home through the cemetery and that's where this guy was. We were too in need of cold drinks by this point so cemetery mush hunt will have to wait for another day.

pictures ~ april 2020

nature reclaims everything

drawings for spring sticker sheets

found a hedgehog skull in the garden and added it to the other little found objects on our kitchen shelf

trying to sit at my desk often even if i don't "do" anything so i don't turn to mulch on the sofa, it's working, most days

i guess it's why they're so popular but i can't get over how quickly this plant grows, i stare at it every morning to see how much it's changed

i've spent so much time with the garden this spring, i'm finally enjoying it for what it is and enjoying pottering about for as long as is fun rather than having some sort of garden goal in mind. it is what it is and what it is is a lucky space to have💖

started knitting again. lots of vague plans about what i want to do but i'll need to wait to make any big projects until i can go out and buy yarn again, i can make plans though.
