ugly photos of tasty food #17

beans pizza // for a while, making tiny cakes with sprinkles was my distraction from life

i'm a bit obsessed with sprinkles, how they look, the texture, how the colour leeches out into the icing

warm enough for garden lunch :) // Will making a pizza never gets old

this incredibly dense and tasty ball was cut in half and shared, Cuppie Hut portions are mad // camo cake

amazona zoo

we got taken to the zoo, a zoo we'd never been to before that is focused on South America and there were a lot of animals i'd never seen irl before which was such a treat.
look at the tapir and she had a baby *cries* and the mara free roam and also had babies *cries more*
at one point the tapir looked right at us and stuck her nose up so we could see her silly teeth <3
capybara bara bara capybara!
i've added some zoom and enhance because it needs to be remembered how muddy this one capy was, iconic. look at that mud shine.

i couldn't get the angle for a photo but i'm completely in love with crocodilians chubby little hands, perfect.
there were also colourful birds that love to yell (and i love to listen to it) and tiny monkeys cleaning each other and a ceiling tube with leaf cutter ants walking along it doing their leaf cutting job and big fish with underbites. and on the way in the agouti weren't out when we arrived but as we were leaving we got to see two of them and one was collecting straw for a nest *cries again*

snail friend

i made myself a chunky little crochet snail friend keyring and i love them. i think if i made another i'd move the eye stalks a little further forward but i actually really enjoy that this guy has a slight bunny feel, very cute imo.
now to decide where to hang him. my backpack is green and has a Kirby keyring so colour-wise he'd fit right in. sometimes i'm not interested in matching colours because i like all of them and don't like to be tasteful at all but also sometimes all one (or two) colour is pretty intense and cool. plus, snail does deserve to go on main bag...
i took these photos over in the meadow and i didn't see any snails but i did see a lot of rabbits and bumblebees. there's normally always lots of dog walkers over there but it was so quiet and i had the whole place pretty much to myself and the rabbits weren't so spooked so i got to see them up close and cleaning themselves and it was perfect.

lachryma

i'm so excited for new Ghost. i really like Satanized and that reveal of Papa V Perpetua and the ghouls at the end, *chefs kiss* they looked so good. maybe you think visuals don't matter and it should just be about the music. you're incorrect. sorry. anyway, Lachryma, these sets are beautiful. love that cut out moon and building silhouette with the lit up window and the iron fence and the wallpaper and the way the colours in that room feel so thick and the flickering light so that it looks sort of like early cinema frame rates. so. good.

the green to blue to red was tasty. love me a coloured light filter, never gets old, always looks good. also his different masks, beautiful.

V is so creepy! i love it! look at his little snarly mouth. so good.

i enjoy that there was regular gloves, long boney fingers and then full bat wings.

while we're here can we have a moment of appreciaton for the well and that he just stands on it for a bit. why are wells spooky and cool? i don't know but they are and it fits the scenery so well and i love it.

the heavy rgb lights, very cool, these flashes where the light is much whiter and it's a totally different look, also very cool. that purple with the house on the left, what other ways of saying "chefs kiss" or "so good" are there?
i'd love a really good look at the ghoul's outfits. this ruching on their jackets that looks like a spine. yes please.
this harness isn't just fashion/holding on the wings, right? he's going to fly around a stage with his sparkly little bat wings, right?!

how many diamantes were used in this video? the correct amount i think.

i do think the visuals imply a heavier song than we got BUT i don't really care lol. i think the discussions around whether Ghost are metal or not and wanting more metal than pop and yadda yadda yadda are kind of boring for the most part. people make what they want to make and you either like it or not. *shrugs* basically i'm quite excited. i like the song, i like the sets, i like the costumes, i like what we've seen of the characters so far. lovely.

north elmham chapel ruins

last sunday afternoon Will remembered seeing a sign for a chapel ruin so we headed out to have a look. these first photos are from when we went completely past it and ended up down some farm tracks, confused that none of the fields had any ruins in. but we got to see sheep so it was fine.

on the way back out we realised it was literally through an open gate that we'd stopped next to so i could get off and look at the map that's next to it. anyway.

i want to say it was built in the 1100's and then turned into a castle/manor in the 1300's. it's old and very cool to clambour around in.

snail friend hiding and part of the original staircase inside the tower. monks walked up that and now i have too.

march 2025

ok, i'm "caught up" a satisfying amount now. i'm tempted to move things from tumblr to here but i'm not going to, i'll just start posting here now and link back.

i find editing photos quite relaxing, cutting and collaging and adding stickers and i've been mashing together a month's worth of pictures for a monthly post on instagram but i dont know if i'll keep doing that or just share things more as they happen but i don't want to deprive myself of my photo editing smooth brain hobby.

i'm writing this out as a reminder to myself when i read this at some point in the future. share photos with no editing, stick stickers all over a picture because it's a relaxing time, take a bunch of photos and collage them together. i don't need to be consistant, i can use the same photo more than once if i want to. stop restricting yourself <3

i regret not pouring 2p's into that machine until i got the death note pumpkin.
