week 47 2020

I put yellow over the blue/green I had in there because I wanted to look like a specific inkling but the yellow didn't take very well and faded super fast, this one nice photo is it's legacy.
vegan ginsters dipped in a pot noodle has made it onto my best comfort food list
from a zine I made for my library's online zine club
i'm open to trades if you have a perzine to swap
our accidental potted moss is doing well :)
making ugly food and taking ugly photos of it is my new hobby
my cure for missing art/craft/zine fairs is to do one big order on etsy and wait for it all to arrive before I open it. I'm still waiting for a couple of bits and it's gonna be so sweet.

week 45 2020

a while ago I got volumes 4 and 5 of Tokyo Babylon in a library sale just because it was CLAMP and then when they announced the anime I thought it'd be a good time to seek them out on purpose and actually read it. I only need volume 6 now. if you know why all of these have a beautiful colour fold out at the front except for volume 4 please tell me, I'd love to know. I have two copies and neither have one so I'm pretty sure they're not just missing.
my parents asked me to design their christmas cards again and after such a crappy brain year it felt good to work on something so solidly and then be proud of how they turned out :)
I can't believe this little cauliflower. they all had so many eggs laid on them and so many caterpillars living on them and the leaves all look like lace from being eaten (by caterpillars and the pigeons) but I think three so far are actually growing little cauliflowers. nature is amazing.
just a really fucking cute leaf.

woods! 05+071120

I never get bored of the woods, whatever the season but it's pretty good at the minute.
apparently this year is a mast year for the oak trees and the squirrels are going ham. they're everywhere digging and eating and chasing each other and just sitting there shouting really loud.
so many cute mush😭
we saw this log and all along it there was shells and nuts with nibble marks where squirrels I guess had sat there eating. so much to eat they only need a bite from each acorn. I filmed more of it.
moss + mush = happy place
