Monday - Banham Zoo

On Monday we were taken to the zoo by Will's mum and sister. We were lucky enough to not get rained on but we did get jumped on by goats that were mental for the food pellets. They were pretty awesome in their scary goat kind of way. We managed to see pretty much all the animals, we got to stroke a Royal Python (so soft!) and we had a picnic, I love picnics, so all in all it was a good zoo trip. As always, I took a lot of zoo photos, there are more on my flickr if you'd like to see them.

Shrink Plastic

I'm a bit obsessed with shrink plastic at the moment. I'm enjoying being able to draw and also make items for the shop at the same time. So far I've done rings and hair grips (as you can see).
Shrink plastic is magic, still every time I heat it I watch it curl up and think it's never going to unfold, then it always does.
I've got some blank ear studs too so they'll be getting the shrink plastic treatment next to use up all the little bits of shrink plastic left from cutting round these ones.


Some of these bits are in The Craft Room and I will be making listings on Etsy too as made to order.
If you'd like something that's on a ring to be on hair grips or you'd like me to draw a particular image or anything else then just ask, I'll be happy to make you a custom item :)

Sunday Photo an Hour

On Sunday, mum and dad were here and we went out to Great Yarmouth even though it was quite a rainy day. I enjoyed it despite the rain, here's my photo an hour.


9 - 10 am Muffin for breakfast.


10 - 11 am On the way to Yarmouth


11 - noon Wandering around the beach.


noon - 1 pm On the pier, well, one of them.


1 - 2 pm Sitting in the back of the car with the map.


2 - 3 pm Waiting for our lunch.


3 - 4 pm Escapees from Dad's sandwich.


4 - 5 pm My piece of Great Yarmouth rock.


5 - 6 pm Watching the Queen on the telly.


6 - 7 pm Slippers and tea.


7 - 8 pm Will making dinner.


8 - 9 pm Dinner.


9 - 10 pm A few mini flapjacks for pudding.


10 - 11 pm Watching Desperate Housewives and almost falling asleep.

Saturday Photo an Hour Fail

For the long bank holiday weekend I wanted to do photo an hour for all 4 days.
That didn't happen but I did take photos every day so to start off, here is Saturday's failed attempt at photo an hour with the other 3 days to follow in separate posts.


8 - 9 am Attaching the strap I made to a bag I got for Christmas.


9 - 10 am Doing the Alec Baldwin crossword in the Odeon magazine (and getting it wrong).


10 - 11 am A bit of comic reading, I Kill Giants.


11 - noon A wasp sunning itself on the wall just outside our bedroom window.


noon - 1 pm Another bug shot in our back garden.


1 - 2 pm Will doing some drawing.


2 - 3 pm Inside mum and dad's car (they came to visit)

3 - 4 pm The beginnings of failure.


4 - 5 pm Outside Sainsbury eating sausage rolls.

The massive fail.
