(Almost) Photo An Hour ~ 23/05/14

Untitled

8am - A little flower I'd picked after voting the evening before.

Untitled

9am - Watching this crow climb the roof. Why not just land at the top in the first place? Who knows.

Untitled

10am - Heading into the city to do boring grown up things.

Untitled

11am - Getting a free coffee makes boring grown up things better. (I feel like this might be interpreted as I got free coffee by finding this cup on the floor, I didn't, I just put it down while I put my phone away and realised I needed to take a photo.)

Untitled

noon - Will's latte face.

Untitled

1pm - At the computer.

Untitled

3pm - I noticed our easter cactus is growing new leaves.

Untitled

4pm - Heading out for a walk to clear a couple of overworked brains (I realise these photos don't show any work, you'll just have to believe me.)

Untitled

5pm - Heading back out of the cemetery.

Untitled

6pm - Stabbing myself. Crochet is dangerous stuff.

Untitled

7pm - Losing the light at the end of the day.

It's weird I remember the day as crocheting till my wrists hurt, taking breaks and crocheting some more but because it's not something I can share the photos make my day look really different. Also, I suppose you get a lot done in hour, one photo isn't going to show everything.

The Rosary Cemetery ~ 23/05/14

Untitled

We took a walk yesterday evening to give my wrist a rest from the crochet work I'm doing at the moment and popped over to the cemetery. It's always a good place for a wander.

This is the only mausoleum in the whole cemetery. I've shared it on here before but I just like it so much. It belongs to Emanuel Cooper who was an eye surgeon. He died in 1878. I don't even wanna think about having that eye surgery.

Untitled Untitled

Everything was so green, it's a beautiful place.

Untitled

I've not seen an unfinished date before on a gravestone, I'm really curious to know why it was left half blank. Maybe it was Ada that had the stone engraved so she couldn't have known her own year but wanted to make sure she'd be on it? In that case is she even dead yet? I guess I'll never know but it's interesting to think about.

The Anti-Social Club ~ Pattern

Anti - Social Club ~ Pattern

This weeks Anti-Social Club theme is pattern. I went with a pattern of behaviour I circle through throughout the spring/summer.
I'm really looking forward to colouring this little comic, I think it'll make it much better but I don't have the time this week so the line work will have to do for now.

Studio Peeks

Untitled Untitled Untitled

I'm currently waiting for materials to turn up for a commission I can't share at the moment so I've scheduled this little post in an attempt to not lose my streak of daily posts while I work on secret things. So here are a few little peeks around my studio that I took the other day. I'm not completely happy with how my studio is at the moment but I'm slowly getting it how I want it. If anyone wants to send a tall bookcase my way that'd be swell.
For now I'll just be happy hanging out with the Queen and tiny pine cones.

Here are some sketchbook pages, I think the sun has frazzled my brain so that's all I have to say about them.

Instant Weekend

Saturday

Sunday

The weekend was sunny and hot. On Saturday we sat by the river drawing. The second photo does the sky no justice, it was actually bright blue. On Sunday I hid inside suffering from hay fever but popped out to the garden to check on the strawberries and take these two photos. Our first strawberries have already started to emerge which is pretty exciting.

Here's to a new week  ^_^
