Copdock Bike Show 2026

Will has been to this bike show a few times but it was my first time and it was a good time. I love a field with an event in it. (that first photo is just the visitor parking)

I know only a small amount about bikes but I do know tamagotchi exhaust and shiny wrap is cool things.

love these racing bibs

strong fashion choices available at the bike show.

I went to Copdock Bike Show and all I got was this Danzig album on cassette (actually very excting). we almost got some bootleg patches but refrained.

please paint fairground rides forever. say no to fairground rides with digital print decals on them.

*heart eyes*

i love them.

we also saw some sort of doughnuts world record and a kids bike club jumping through fire. a very good Sunday activity.

bandcamp friday ~ september '26

this is just a bandcamp purchases blog now, that's fine.

Lost Songs of Distant Realms: Volume One and Two by Quest Master

Of Mossy Ruins and Forest Paths by Skeleton Mage

The Dream Eaters Magazine No. 2: I Am Covered In Eyes by The Dream Eaters

two of these, we have on cassette (Will got a walkman and for not headphone listening we connect it to a pair of old pc speakers and it sounds so crunchy and beautiful) and the last stands out because it's not dungeon synth but my beloved Dream Eaters. i remember when i first heard them a few years ago and instantly fell in love.

before shopping my wishlist was at 25 and now it's at 19.

total spend: £11.89

bandcamp freeday #2

Sokol Keep sent out a message with a bunch of codes so I gobbled them up.

bandcamp friday ~ august '26

i really try to not buy too much of anything in one go. I like to have a few new things and actually spend time with them so every bandcamp friday I have to use all my willpower to not just buy everything in my wishlist.

this is what i narrowed it down to in August:

The Way Home by Page

Sidequests by Gilgareth

Stoned in Gielinor II by Flickers From the Fen

Treasure Goblin by Cave Spellcaster

II by Fief

The Toad King by Tales Under The Oak

Speak Frond and Enter by Fernmage

oddly, my wishlist started at 29 again and now after buying these bits it's at 22.

total spend: £15.36, incredible for such choice picks.

sometimes if you're lucky people send out codes on bandcamp and if you're really lucky you get to use one of those codes before they've all been used by someone else and you get a free album.

seeing as it's bandcamp friday again tomorrow I thought I'd share the music I've gotten for free

Lost, But Not Entirely Upset About It by Average Adventures

I managed to snag us a copy of the game/cassette that Average Adventures made with Fernmage and really love it so I was excited to snag this too.

Battle Synth Vol. V by Battle Synth Compilations

Will sent me a link to the codes for this and I love a compilation.

Battlemace by Castlesmash

I already followed the distro that sent out these codes and even though I had no idea what this was the cover art won me over and I'm so glad I got to know about this, I would have paid for it anyway.

it was just a really nice day

the nice day started with packing this order of zines :)

the library had re-opened the day before (after closing for refurb in April). it felt very good to sit on the floor in the library again.

and we went to the David Shenton exhibit which we both loved. I just wrote a bunch about it for my perzine and don't feel like repeating myself too much but I've been a fan of his work for years, it just has so many elements that I love and I really recommend seeing the exhibit.

knitted version of the sideboard!

this shirt is covered in chain stitching and was just added to over 12 years and I'm obsessed with it.

getting to see original illustrations in real life is one of my favourite things.

getting to see any art in real life is always interesting. go to a gallery. make things with your hands.

on the way out of the museum I showed Will a horse painting I stand in front of a lot at work and then we went and got iced buns for lunch and boba to walk home with

I got myself this bird bath I've had my eye on for a couple of years and then we ate lots and watched wrestling and I was healed by this lovely day.

digital hoard dump #2

it's endlessly fascinating to me how in one moment i absolutely need to take a screenshot and then in a future moment i'm like, lol why did i need that? this isn't a comment on Scully, obviously this is an important artifact.

Wilko popped up on google maps. i miss her.

for some reason itvx won't let me watch Buffy on my laptop anymore even though it works on the tv. so maybe these will be my last screenshots.

although youtube won't do auto subs/auto translate on my laptop either and i'm just taking photos of the tv so...

i simply love Peter Cushing <3

i hope we all get to enjoy a snack today as much as Mirin is enjoying this cracker.

same, Tooms. same.
