Sketchbook Sunday ~ Glass, Bum, Pattern and Hand

I'm really enjoying having the #drawdec challenge on instagram. I might have to write out a list of words for January to keep it going once this is over.

(If you're on instagram I'm @vongarratt, come say hi)

Good Morning

When I woke up this morning the room was orange. Another reason to like this time of year, I'd never be up early enough to see this in the summer.

Recent Makes ~ Multicolour Crochet Bunting

My plan to stay organised and keep up with things is going well so far. There is crochet bunting everywhere.

By everywhere I mean Etsy, Folksy and The Craft Room.

What My Phone Saw ~ November

I never get bored of autumn

Olga has since turned into someone I apparently don't talk to anymore and she really misses me and I should click on this link to talk to her again.

If you don't do this, you're lying, everyone does this...maybe.

Doing drawings in Hobbycraft / amigurumi caterpillar

Tea and cakes / toys troubling each other (I found them like that)

The christmas tree in The Craft Room (I made that snowflake) / me in The Craft Room

Reading comics

More autumn

Birthday card for my nan / fingerless mittens ready for the market

Behind the scenes at the market

I love these cups and I made those peas

William's Birthday Part Two: Not History

We're so cool.

Dino breakfast.
Snazzy glasses.
A much too small toga.
Viking faces.
The most amazing family ever.
My William and this William both like skeletons, maybe there's something about the name.

There are some more photos from the castle on my flickr page.

Sunday Sketchbook ~ #drawdec and Natural History

I'm taking part in a daily drawing challenge on instagram for December. I've neglected drawing recently (again...) so I'm looking forward to having this to keep me going (search #drawdec for everyone's drawings and I'm @vongarratt if you're interested)
These first 2 were 'cat' and 'dvd/book cover'.

Some drawings from the castle on Will's birthday.

Some older drawings, including a little bit of a comic strip I'm doing. Actually thinking about doing a silly little bi-monthly web comic, we'll see.

William's Birthday Part One: Actual History

Will decided that for his birthday he wanted to eat a lot of doughnuts and go draw in the castle so that is what we did.

I so badly want that ram's head. It's a snuff box / cigar holder and is on wheels so you can move it round the dining table for post dinner smokes. A ram's head on wheels. What's not to love?
That fish beak on the other hand is nothing but creepy. I like creepy but that is wrong.
