Disposable ~ Bonfire Night

Disposable Camera Disposable Camera Disposable Camera Disposable Camera Disposable Camera

Bonfire night. Photos could never explain how huge and how hot that fire was. It was awesome.
I was pretty impressed by my disposable camera firework photo taking ability.
Who doesn't want to be pushed around in a rusty wheelbarrow.
The chicken sheds the next day. (This isn't where the fire was, obviously)

The last party at the farm. I think it had a pretty good send off. After all the fire and fireworks there was sausages and mulled cider and pumpkin pie and apple crumble. What more could you want.

Quick Shop Update ~ Cards

Untitled Untitled

The brilliant business minded person that I am I just realised I have some cards in my box of stuff that needs listing that are pretty good for Valentines Day.
So I pretty sharpish got them listed on Folksy and Etsy.
They're not just good for Valentines either so you should probably get a couple for your lovely friends.

Disposable ~ Moving Out and Planting Seeds

Will with Chicken Walker (or so he tells me).
Tyrannosaurus Res. Not my spelling, it's what he has printed on his underside.
The lovely Cherokee.
Planting poppy seeds in shoes.

Will hasn't lived at the farm for years but did until uni so he had lots of stuff to sort out before they moved and while we were there we took some poppy seeds from the garden to plant in ours.

Disposable ~ Norwich

The cathedral.
I cannot for the life of me remember or figure out what this is a photo of. It's bugging me.
On St. Benedicts Street.
The market.

I can't remember when these were taken but judging by the order of the photos it must be during the first week and a half of August 2013. I so much want to know what that second photo is of!! It looks kinda like graffiti but somewhere that has a light set up? I tried fiddling with it on photoshop to figure it out but it didn't work. Argh!

Disposable ~ Will and Food

Disposable Camera Disposable Camera Disposable Camera Disposable Camera

Will and me in a pub, probably eating burgers.
Noodle Stop (I'm pretty sure it's called Noodle Stop, that might just be what we call it...)
My birthday, balloon and mum.
Still on my birthday, one of my classic beautiful shots of Will mid action while he cooks my dinner.

As is the way with disposable cameras I had one kicking about for ages and finally got it developed the other day. The first photo on it was taken in January 2012 (the one at the top of this post) and the last was taken in November 2013 (which will be in another post).
I thought I'd break it up into a few posts rather than one really long one.
A lot of the photos came out pretty dark but I'm a sucker for film so I think they all have a certain charm however they turned out.

Films I Watched ~ January

Untitled

I am an avid list keeper. I love making lists of all sorts.
I write down all the films I watch, I used to write down all the books I read but now I use Goodreads for that so that my notebooks aren't lists and lists alone.
Then I saw this post on Anke Weckmann's blog and thought I'd have a go with my own. It appeals to my list making ways and I'm hoping in the long run it'll help a little with my typography skills, of which I have few.
I was going to share which were my top 3 but I'm awful at picking favourites and to be honest most of these were pretty good. I was disappointed by Sixteen Candles and The Reef (I was led to believe it would be more about shark attacks but in reality you go ages before even seeing a shark). Burke and Hare was a bit 'meh' but still enjoyable. District 13: Ultimatum was a pleasant surprise, it was actually really funny and everything else I really liked, most of them weren't my first viewing so I knew they were going to be good anyway.

January

I had my January all planned out. I had a list of stock that needed making which I was going to storm through and feel all smug and accomplished about, then spend some time making my Etsy and Folksy shops look good and finally finish off my website. Then I was going to concentrate on designing brand new items and get cracking with that.
What actually happened was I started on my list of stock and then had two projects for Simply Crochet to make which took a little longer than I had thought but got sent off last week and an order for The Jade Tree which I just finished today. I started the month making stock but I think actually most of that sold during the month and I'm almost back down to where I started.
Lots of work, just not the expected work!

Other things this month:
The issue of Simply Crochet came out with my very first project for them.
Our museum passes turned up.
I had an email from someone who had ordered from me that included a photo of her dog which I loved. Feel free to send me photos of your pets (especially if they come with a note saying you loved what you'd bought from me!).
I got a pair of jeans!! That might not sound like news but I live in skirts and dresses. Other than a pair of denim shorts I have nothing that's really suitable for exploring (and shorts don't really count because I get completely eaten by bugs if I have any skin out). I was forever squatting down to take a photo of something and dipping the back of my skirt in whatever was behind me or not being able to climb something or rummage through somewhere because I didn't want to get snagged. But now I have exploring jeans!! Yay for me!

Maybe February will be the month my website finally gets finished...
